Boys Will Be Boys...

This past weekend was the Third Annual Sun Devil Extravaganza. A weekend of Men playing video games, eating meat, golfing, and of course watching football. My sweet sister Summer is a great-sport to let her husband Cory turn their house into a Hotel as she and their children leave town so the ASU Football Fans can congregate and have male-bonding time. Each year 2 dozen men meet to cheer on their team as the Sun Devils play their rivals in the desert, the Wildcats of The University of Arizona. They call themselves "Team Fork U of A" as their logo (yes, this weekend has an official LOGO!) shows a Sun Devil with his pitch-fork killing a Wildcat. Most years this game is a given win for the Sun Devils, but anyone following AZ college ball this season knew that this was not the case this year. And yet, the men still went down to Tucson to cheer on their loosing team and have a good time. Oh, to be a fly on the wall...

Cory has his home ready for the Sun Devil Extravaganza!
(Thanks for most of these pics, Cory!)
Summer bought Hershey's kisses in Maroon & Gold--what a wife! Go Devils!

To quote Cory: "Here kitty, kitty, kitty..."

Anyone from Mesa might recognize several familiar faces from Mountain View, Westwood, and Mesa High. Who'd thought they could all come together to support a common purpose. The Devil fans are strong! (He, he! :D)

Team "Fork U Of A" cheer on their Sun Devils (My babe is top left corner giving the thumbs-up.)

MAKING NEWS: The following picture of "Team Fork UofA" was featured in Arizona's East Valley Tribune.

I can be proud because my guy made this sign! Yeah! Eric is just behind the upside-down 'A' and was looking down to text me that "ASU is getting hammered!" right as this was taken. Too bad for these loyal fans, but come on, Rudy Carpenter is a joke this year! Can't he graduate already?!?

While Eric was in Tucson at the game, I took our boys to the Phoenix Zoo Lights. We strolled the grounds looking at their wonderful lights, saw the few animals that would dare to brave the cold night's air, ate churros, and just had a great time! Afterwards, it was home for hot cocoa and to watch "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." I love the holidays!

Wow - that is dedication for you. I'm going to have to go to the zoo lights, that looks like so much fun.
