*Warning: Picture Overload!
We just got back from a great Family Reunion with my Dad's side of the family, our Decker family. My Grandma Frankie & Grandpa Clair had 4 sons (my Dad is the oldest) & 1 daughter and this reunion was for that original Decker Family and all their descendants. It was so fun to visit with my cousins; most all of the 28 were there with their spouses and kids in tow---it was quite the group! There were 60+ of us that headed up to Payson, AZ to enjoy the beautiful pines, great weather (we caught a break with daytime temps in the 80s and cool, even cold nights), and wonderful company. It was a great memory-making time!
This group family picture was taken on Day 3 and even with this many people, there were still a lot missing. I know from MY family alone we were missing 9 people: my brother Jono (at Auburn for Grad school), Adam (he & older 3 girls went home early to help Monique with newborn daughter #4), bro-in-law Cory (working), and step-mom Carol (who rocked at this reunion :D but left just hours before this pic due to a family commitment with her #3 son). Anyways...after that too long description, here are a few of my Decker relatives:
Homebase for all of the meals & festivities was my Uncle Rick & Aunt Joanne's cabin (shown below). I use the word "Cabin" loosely since this is a gorgeous, 3-story mountain home! And the inside is just as amazing as the outside--Joanne's great eye has decorated it so beautifully! The kids also loved this "cabin" since it has a huge children's play area, with park-sized playground equipment, a lovely BIG playhouse, a trampoline, and a hammock. It was a great location for our reunion!

Here is Tye with his cousins Caitlynn, Julia, and Abby, decorating cookies at one of the many scheduled children's activities. Though they started out only playing with the 1st-cousins that they already knew, by the end of the week these kids were having a blast with all the new 2nd cousins that they met, too! It was really neat to see.
Spenc is such a frosting maniac so he loved the do-it-yourself cookie decorating. "Want a cookie with that frosting?"

One of the reunion highlights for my three guys was the BB-gun station. My Dad set up an awesome target area with dangling pop cans at varying heights and my guys went to town shooting them up! It was really fun to see the excitement in my boys eyes as they shot the cans, but it was just as fun to see the excitement in Eric's eyes as he realized that he is getting closer to his dream of hunting with his sons! Just a few more years, babe, a few more years. :D
I was super impressed with what a great shot Tye was---he rarely missed the dozens he fired! Way to go, Tye guy!
Spencer was a hesitant shooter; shooting some BBs then staying plenty happy just sitting by his Dad and watching him shoot the cans, instead. Way to support the family, Spenc!
This picture is of my kids and three of my sis Summer's kids with our wonderful family friends, Mike & Jody Bailey. Okay, the reunion worked by having everyone sleep at their own cabins and then meet up at Rick's for the daily festivities (all these families' cabins are within 15 minutes of each other in the Payson area). Well, my Dad's cabin would be a little cramped if we all slept there so the Baileys let Summer and I and our fams stay at their cabin, which is 2 doors down from my Dad's. We enjoyed their company the first night and stayed up way too late reminiscing and visiting about life... good times! Thanks, Mike & Jody! :D

Tye with MyPa and his cousin Caitlynn on skit night. Each family performed 3 skits in a "This Is Your Life!" production of my Grandma & Grandpa's lives. It was really funny! Tye was Grandpa Clair in this skit.
During the talent portion of the show, Summer taught any kids who wanted to do the hit song "Baby Shark." This 1st pic is of all the kids acting out the song. The 2nd pic is Tye getting into the song. Check out his awesome move!
I love this kid!!!

Our family is so cool! We had so much fun with you guys and you are just too funny. I love talking to you. And now that you know where the "cabin" is you should stop by and use the outdoor toys whenever you go up. Their neighbors' grandkids use the playground/tramp all the time. My mom also told me the exciting news for your family. Awesome!
Way to update! Very great recap of the reunion. I am missing that cold weather today!
Okay, I totally missed this post! You must have made it when I was out of town. This reunion was a lot of fun. I am glad that we got to be with your family at the Bailey's cabin. Our kids had a blast and I had fun spending time with you! Jaclyn is right...our family is so cool!
